More than a decade in the making “Symphony in Bossa” is a collaborative effort utilising the talents of arranger Bill Zaccagni and Grammy nominated veteran musical duo MINAS. Recorded between late 2013 and the spring of 2014 , the ambitious project brings together over 50 musicians. It contains bossa nova classics such as Desafinado, Chega de Saudade and Manhã de Carnaval as well original pieces enhanced by big band and string arrangements .

It has been a long road for all those involved in the project , which was only able to be completed after a successful crowd funding campaign which ended in May 2013. Also sadly arranger Bill Zaccagni passed away in 2007 , unable to see the completion of his work. It is because of this the album is also viewed as a tribute to to Bill Zaccagni and the great work he has done in service to music.

The album is set for local release (Philadelphia area) on March 14th  which will include a live +30 musician concert with the University of Delaware big band and string orchestra conducted by Tom Palmer  preforming the entire album  at World Cafe Live . The national release will come a month later on April 14.
