Record label, “Classic Jazz France” has recently released a bossa nova compilation album entitled, “Autour De Minuit – Bossa Nova.” It features classics of the genre performed by a variety of artists. The range of musicians is relatively broad and includes traditional bossa nova artists such as Antonio Carlos Jobim and Elis Regina on “Aguas De Marco”  or Stan Getz and Joao Gilberto on Desafinado but also includes jazz musicians Coleman Hawkins and Lalo Schifrin on interpretations of, “One Note Samba” and, “Insensatez” respectively. German Duo Dedicate concert to Bossa Nova

Evelyn Gramel, known as “Bremen’s first lady of song” and guitarist Ralf Benesch will present a concert in honor of bossa nova legend Joao Gilberto. Their group (which consist of additional instrumentalists) is known as “Miss Groovanova” and will be performing at the Maritime Museum in Elsfeth, Germany on the 8th of September at 5:00 pm local time.
