For one reason or another, it now seems common practice to find a Japanese anime soundtrack featuring a song done in “bossa nova style.”  In the past few weeks we featured music from the animes Bleach & Idolm@sters and now we present the bossa nova version of  “tsuki no uragawa”  from the Full Metal Alchemist soundtrack.

Full Metal Alchemist

As the name suggests, the anime features several elements of magic and mysticism, along with unique and compelling characters.  For this and other reasons, the anime stands out as one of the most original, to be popularized in the western world in recent times.

The same adjectives can be used to describe this song and fortunately it all comes together well to produce something that both bossa and anime fans alike can enjoy.
